RADIO AND PRESS RELEASE
The Minister of Finance hereby informs all non-professional taxpayers, who are liable for the annual filing of the Personal Income Tax (PIT), that the filing season for income earned during the 2024 tax year is now officially open.
In line with efforts to modernize tax administration and enhance taxpayer convenience, the Directorate General of Taxation has made two filing channels available:
- Pre-filled tax returns: automatically generated by the tax administration based on third-party and administrative data already available in its systems, and made accessible to taxpayers for review, validation, and submission;
- Voluntary filings: whereby taxpayers manually declare their income and submit their returns electronically via the website of the Directorate General of Taxation: www.impots.cm.
Taxpayers are reminded that filing within the statutory due dates is mandatory, as follows:
- 31st July 2025: for senior public officials and employees of public and semi-public institutions;
- 30th September 2025: for private-sector employees under the jurisdiction of the Large Taxpayers Office (LTO), the Medium-Sized Taxpayers Office (MTO), and Specialized Tax Centres;
- 31st October 2025: for all other individual taxpayers, including non-resident individuals earning Cameroon-sourced income.
To support taxpayers throughout the filing process, the tax administration offers personalized assistance via the DGT’s Call Centre, toll-free at 8200 and the Helpdesk online support platform, available at www.support.harmony2.cm.
The Minister of Finance counts on the compliance of all.
