THE MINISTER DELEGATE AT THE PRESIDENCY IN CHARGE OF DEFENCE HEREBY INFORMS:
Young male Cameroonians who are interested in building a career with the Defence Forces that the competitive entrance examinations for the special recruitment of 2,000 elite commandos comprising 700 for the Presidential Guard and 1,300 for the Rapid Intervention Battalion (including 100 State Registered Nurses) shall take place from 21st October to 2nd December 2023 in the headquarters of the applicants’ regions of origin. Conditions to be fulfilled are as follows:
I - CONDITIONS TO BE FULFILLED BY APPLICANTS
- Be of Cameroonian nationality;
- Be at least 18 years old on 1st January 2023 and at most 23 years old on 31st December 2023 (that is, should be born between 31st December 2000 for the oldest and 1st January 2005 for the youngest);
- For State Registered Nurse (SRN) applicants, be at least 25 years old on 31st December 2023 (that is, should be born between 31st December 1998 for the oldest and 1st January 2005 for the youngest);
- Have a clean criminal record;
- Be single without dependent children;
- Be of good character;
- Be physically fit to take the prescribed medical, intellectual and sports tests;
- Be holder of at least the FSLC or the CEP or any equivalent certificate. However, it is strongly recommended that applicants submit their highest certificate;
- State Registered Nurse (SRN) applicants, must be holders of a State Registered Nursing certificate awarded by the Ministry of Public Health;
- Be at least 1.66 metres tall.
II - CONSTITUTION OF APPLICATION FILE
- A handwritten application bearing a 1,500 CFA francs stamp, signed by the applicant and addressed to the Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Defence;
- A certified true copy of birth certificate, not more than 03 (three) months old;
- A certified true copy of the required certificate;
- An attestation of presentation of original of the required certificate;
- For State Registered Nurse (SRN) applicants, a certified true copy of the required certificate and an attestation of presentation of original of State Registered Nursing certificate;
- A certificate of non-conviction, not more than 03 (three) months old;
- An information sheet (fiche de renseignements) duly filled out;
- A certificate of celibacy;
- Four (4x4) passport-size photographs of the applicant with his/her name overleaf;
- An unlegalised photocopy of National Identity Card or its receipt;
- A certificate of Cameroonian nationality issued by the competent authority;
- An envelope bearing a 500 CFA francs stamp and the applicant’s address;
- A curriculum vitae signed by the applicant;
- A sum of 5,000 (five thousand) CFA francs as fees for participation in the recruitment (to be paid during summary medical examination);
