PRESS RELEASE
THE MINISTER DELEGATE AT THE PRESIDENCY IN CHARGE OF DEFENCE
HEREBY INFORMS:
Young Cameroonians of both sexes who are interested in building a career with the Defence Forces, that a preselection test for the competitive entrance examination into the American Military Academy shall take place in Yaounde, the sole examination centre.
A - CONDITIONS TO BE FULFILLED
- Be of Cameroonian nationality;
- Be at least 17 years old and 23 years old at most on 01/07/2024;
- Be single and have no child in their care;
- Have a clean criminal record and be of good moral standing;
- Enjoy your full civil rights;
- Be free from any infectious disease;
- Be declared fit by a military doctor;
- Perfect mastery of English Language (reading, writing and speaking);
- Be holder of GCE/AL in atleast two papers in science or baccalauréat scientifique (Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry).
B - CONSTITUTION OF FILE
- An A4 envelope bearing a 1500 CFA francs fiscal stamp, bearing the following handwritten information: surname and given names, date and place of birth, certificate, telephone number and email address;
- A handwritten application bearing a 1500 CFA francs fiscal stamp addressed to: The Minister Delegate at the Presidency in Charge of Defence;
- A certified true copy of birth certificate;
- A certificate of nationality issued by a competent authority (Magistrate);
- A medical certificate;
- A certified true copy of GCE/AL or baccalauréat;
- An attestation of presentation of the original of GCE A/L or baccalauréat certificate;
- A certificate of non-conviction not more than 3 months old signed by a competent authority (Magistrate);
- A blank cardboard folder;
- A curriculum vitae;
- A certificate of celibacy;
- An information sheet to be obtained from the Department of Human Resources during the submission of file.
Candidates shall disburse a sum of 20 000 CFA francs (Twenty thousand CFA francs) against a receipt, at the Department of Human Resources of the Ministry of Defence, as examination fee.
C - WRITTEN PRESELECTION TEST
It shall take place on Saturday, 28 October 2023 at the Armed Forces Specialists Training Centre (CISA) in Yaounde at 7:00a.m. Candidates shall exclusively be tested in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, in the English Language.
D - SELECTION TEST
The selection test shall take place at the American Embassy in Yaounde on 10 November 2023 and will only concern shortlisted candidates. They must first undergo a medical fitness test and take the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) at their own expense.

Complete application files shall be submitted at the Department of Human Resources latest Wednesday, 25 October 2023 at 3:30p.m.
