ARTICLE 305.- Diffamation
(1) Est puni d'un emprisonnement de six (06) jours à six (06) mois et d'une amende de cinq mille (5 000) à deux millions (2 000 000) de francs ou de l'une de ces deux peines seulement, celui qui, par l'un des moyens prévus à l'article 152 du présent Code, porte atteinte à l'honneur ou la considération d'une personne en lui imputant directement ou non des faits dont il ne peut rapporter la preuve.
SECTION 305: Defamation
(1) Whoever by any of the means described in Section 152 injures the honour or reputation of another by imputations, direct or indirect, of facts which he is unable to prove shall be punished with imprisonment for from 6 (six) days to 6 (six) months and with a fine of from 5 000 (five thousand) to 2 000 000 (two million) francs, or with only one of the penalties.
