INTERNAL COMMUNIQUE
The Minister of State, Minister of Higher Education announces to prospective and interested candidates that the Islamic University of Technology (IUT) Dhaka, Bangladesh, under the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), is offering a number of scholarships for the 2021 academic year, to begin in February, 2021.
This offer is open to young Cameroonian Muslims of both sexes for the undergraduate and post-graduate levels in the following specialities:
I. Bachelor of Science (4 years programme):
i) Mechanical Engineering (full scholarship); ii) Electrical and Electronic Engineering (full scholarship); iii) Computer Science and Engineering (full scholarship); iv) Civil Engineering (without scholarship); v) Software Engineering (without scholarship); vi) Industrial and Production Engineering (without scholarship).
II. Technical Education Programmes:
i) Diploma in Technical Education (full scholarship); ii) Bachelor of Science in Technical Education (full scholarship); iii) Master of Science in Technical Education (without scholarship); iv) Post-graduate Diploma in Technical Education (without scholarship); v) Ph.D in Technical Education (without scholarship).
III. Post-graduate programmes in Engineering (without scholarship):
a. Master of Science in
i) Mechanical Engineering; ii) Electrical and Electronic Engineering; iii) Computer Science and Engineering; iv) Civil Engineering.
b. Doctor of Philosophy in
i) Mechanical Engineering; ii) Electrical and Electronic Engineering; iii) Computer Science and Engineering; iv) Civil Engineering.
IV. Bachelor of Business Administration in Technology Management (without scholarship)
Eligibility Criteria:
- Be of Cameroonian nationality,
- Be in good health both physically and mentally,
- Be a holder of the GCE Advanced Level or a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent,
- Be a Muslim male or female not more than 22 years old for undergraduate studies or 32 years for postgraduate studies,
- Have a good command of the English language.
Requirements:
- A handwritten stamped application addressed to the Minister of State, Minister of Higher Education mentioning the chosen field of study, gender, age, Region of origin and 02 telephone numbers,
- Certified copy of birth certificate (not more than 03 months old),
- Certificate of nationality,
- Certificate of non-conviction,
- Copy of personal pages of passport,
- Certified copies of GCE certificates (for undergraduate studies), Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees or their equivalents for post-graduate studies (accompanied by academic transcripts),
- A detailed CV,
- 04 coloured passport size photographs bearing the name and nationality of the candidate behind,
- A medical certificate of fitness,
- An authorization to apply from a parent or a guardian.
Complete files of candidates in 02 copies (01 original and 01 photocopy) have to be deposited at the Ministry of Higher Education, 15 floor, door number 1504, latest Friday 14 November 2020, at 3:30pm prompt.
