In the first three months of this year 2016, Cameroon has remained imperturbable, unfolding every day its great vitality, under the wise leadership of Paul BIYA, both in domestic policy and in relations with external partners.
Since the CPDM militants from all the nooks and crannies of the national triangle chose, legitimately and freely, to remount their National President for the conquest of the highest office in our country, all of Cameroon has been consumed by a polyphonic vibration of rare intensity.
The different social groupings and all the living forces of our nation are thus set in motion, each emitting a particular sound, one that is propelled by their own convictions, their dreams of grandeur, their hopes, their legitimate aspirations, and even, in some cases, their naive illusions.
This polyphony nevertheless comprises, perhaps imperceptibly, a beautiful social and political fresco, a multicolored bouquet, a bouquet of a democracy in constant progress, but already real, plural, inclusive and peaceful.
A democracy desired and built by Paul BIYA, with tact and moderation, without abruptness or conservatism. A democracy that is not at par with sterile unanimity, but which is instead strengthened and enriched by freedom of thought and speech, by the mismatches and excess commitment of some, by the temperance and sense of reconciliation of others, including in the face of the irrationality of some. A democracy of tolerance and acceptance of difference, fueled by the natural diversity of Cameroon, continually watering the sources of our Africa in miniature. Finally, a democracy that follows the course set by Paul BIYA namely: bequeath to posterity a Cameroon which is politically and institutionally strong.
Paul BIYA is the architect of this project which he set in 1982. Since then, he tirelessly splints to its implementation, over the years, with equal determination, with this surprising and unalterable greenness so much envied. Those who support it today, like yesterday, know this. So they maintain their loyalty to him because they see the situation of our country, in a tumultuous, volatile and uncertain world. They know that the future of our country will be guaranteed by the wisdom of the choices made today. So they call, once again, to the service of our collective future, a man of experience, a man of courage and of wisdom. They continue to trust in the stature of a statesman, visionary and respected, whose sense of proportion and tact is reassuring.
