The Director General of Taxation informs economic operators that after the September 15th, 2019 deadline set for taxpayers to file their annual and Statistics Tax Returns (STR) for the 2018 Fiscal year online, 11152 STR out of 13 000 have been submitted through the automated system set up by the Tax Administration, representing a compliance rate of 86%.
The Director General of Taxation expresses his gratitude to all the taxpayers who have voluntarily met their tax obligations and have contributed to the success of this important reform in its first year.
Those who till date have not submitted their STR for the 2018 fiscal year via the online platform of the Directorate General of Taxation, are therefore called upon to regularize their tax situation without delay. In so doing, they shall avoid the inconveniences of being subject to the sanctions applicable for non-filing of returns.
