The Director-General of Taxation informs candidates for the December 6th, 2020 election for Regional Councillors that, per the legislation in force, the Tax Clearance Certificate is the sole relevant tax document required to submit their files.
This document serves both as a certificate of taxation or non-taxation and attests to the bearer’s tax compliance.
In this regard, candidates are invited to contact the Divisional Tax Offices wherein they fulfill their tax obligations to obtain the said document, upon presentation of a simple stamped request.
The Director-General of Taxation recalls that the Tax Clearance Certificate is issued free of charge.
