The Minister of Public Health informs the public and the people of the Northwest Region that, following the fire that damaged part of the Bamenda Regional Hospital, the Government is closely monitoring the situation.
On the instructions of the Minister of Public Health, a specialized technical team was immediately dispatched to the site to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the damage. This mission will allow for the development of appropriate measures for a coherent, sustainable, and needs-based reconstruction of this important referral health facility.
Under the Esteem Leadership of the President of the Republic, His Excellency Paul Biya, The Government will take all necessary steps to restore quality health services to the population as quickly as possible.
The Minister of Public Health urges the population to remain calm and confident, while prioritizing coordination, solidarity, and unity of action during this time. Measures are being taken to ensure the continuity of patient care and to minimize disruptions related to this incident.
The Government reaffirms its commitment to rebuilding this hospital so that it can continue to fully fulfill its mission of serving the people of the Northwest Region.
The Minister of Public Health thanks the public for their calm, trust, and sense of responsibility.
