The Minister of the Public Service and Administrative Reform, Michel Ange ANGOUING, led an important delegation to Rabat in Morocco to attend the 55th Session of CAFRAD’s Board of Directors and the 13th Forum on the Modernization of the Public Service and State Institutions of the African Training and Research Centre in Administration for Development that held from the 3 to 6 July 2017 on the theme: “Anti-corruption in African public services as a tool to implement responsible public governance”.
During these meetings, participants reflected on the new missions of CAFRAD in an era of major administrative changes and on the current governance challenges in Africa as well as responsible public governance as a new and privileged tool in supporting national and international anti-corruption strategies.
Deliberations were also marked by the publication of results of the contest organized by the institution to reward best practices in area of public actions performance which are beneficial to the population. After assessing the various projects presented, our country just like last year, again won THE EXCELLENCE AWARDS, of the second edition of the Pan-African Public Service Awards in the “Promotion of gender equity in the civil service” category, through the Ministry of Women Empowerment and the Family, with the Government project on “Track record of Gender mainstreaming in public administration”. This award comes to crown government effort aimed at enhancing and protecting women and gender rights, social justice and sustainable development through family stability, under the impulse of the President of the Republic, Head of State and as directed by the Prime Minister, Head of Government
