The Minister of Forestry and Wildlife has the honor to inform the national and international public opinion, that by Order No. 004/PM of 7 February 2022, the Prime Minister, Head of Government, has approved and made enforceable, the National Anti-Poaching and Wildlife Crime Strategy 2020-2030.
As the Government's planning document in the fight against these scourges, the National Anti-Poaching and Wildlife Crime Strategy2020-2030, has as its main objective the protection of endangered wildlife species in order to ensure both the maintenance of ecosystems and the preservation of the well-being of the populations. As such, it intends to:
contribute toward achieving set objectives for the protection and sustainable management of wildlife resources throughout the territory; facilitate collaboration between institutions that can pool resources to curb poaching and wildlife crime; plan all actions at the national level and contribute to the mobilization of the necessary means and resources.
The Minister of Forestry and Wildlife seizes this opportunity to invite the all the actors in the implementation of the new Strategy to make their full contributions to the dissemination and operationalization of this strategic tool.

# COMMUNIQUE RADIO-PRESSE
Le Ministre des Forêts et de la Faune a l’honneur d’informer l'opinion publique nationale et internationale, que par arrêté n°004/PM du 07 février 2022, le Premier Ministre, Chef du Gouvernement, a approuvé et rendu exécutoire, la Stratégie Nationale de lutte contre le braconnage et la criminalité faunique 2020-2030.
Document de planification du Gouvernement en matière de lutte contre ces fléaux, la Stratégie Nationale de lutte contre le braconnage et la criminalité faunique 2020-2030 a pour objectif principal la protection des espèces de faune sauvage menacées d'extinction, en vue d'assurer à la fois le maintien des écosystèmes et la préservation du bien-être des populations. A ce titre, la Stratégie entend :
contribuer à l’atteinte des objectifs assignés au Département Ministériel en vue de la protection et de la gestion durable des ressources fauniques sur l'ensemble du territoire; faciliter la collaboration entre les institutions et les structures chargées de mutualiser les ressources pour endiguer le phénomène de braconnage et la criminalité faunique ; planifier l'ensemble des actions au niveau national et contribuer à la mobilisation des moyens et des ressources nécessaires.
Le Ministre des Forêts et de la Faune saisit cette opportunité pour inviter les acteurs de la mise en œuvre de la nouvelle Stratégie à apporter toutes leurs contributions à la diffusion et à l'opérationnalisation de cet outil stratégique.
