# COMMUNIQUE

The Minister of Finance hereby informs economic operators and the business community that, in order to offer operational and logistical facilities to goods in transit or destined for the national territory, the regulations in force, in particular the CEMAC Customs Code and Decree No. 2016/5161/PM dated November 14, 2016 to specify the procedures for setting up and developing External Sheds and Customs Clearance Precincts (MADE), offer the possibility of developing and operating MADEs at the Ngaoundéré logistics platform, according to the terms defined by the aforementioned Decree.

This initiative, which aims to facilitate trade and relieve congestion in port areas, as well as to reduce the time and cost to clear goods, has the corollary of decentralizing the customs clearance of goods according to the procedures defined by the Customs Administration.

Therefore, he invites stakeholders wishing to obtain approval for the development and operation of such facilities, to contact the Directorate General of Customs for the relevant formalities.

The Minister of Finance reiterates his commitment to the implementation of instruments aimed at facilitating trade, streamlining formalities and reducing customs clearance costs.
