# RADIO AND PRESS RELEASE
The Minister of Finance reminds all taxpayers, both public and private sector, that per the provisions of Law No. 2023/019 of December 19, 2023, bearing the Finance Law of the Republic of Cameroon for the 2024 fiscal year, withholding tax certificates and automobile stamp duty payment certificates will be issued exclusively online through the tax administration's computer system.
This new system will be implemented in two phases to ensure a smooth rollout:
- A pilot phase starting March 4, 2024, for the twenty-five (25) largest public and private entities.
- A general rollout phase for all concerned taxpayers, beginning March 18, 2024.
The Minister of Finance emphasizes that this administrative reform aims to simplify procedures and enhance taxpayer service without introducing any new taxes or increasing the tax burden.
Furthermore, the Minister informs taxpayers that a help desk accessible through the Directorate General of Taxation's web portal (www.impots.cm/) and a toll-free number (8200) are available to assist them with this online process.
