BEYOND THE RUMOUR MILL... FACTS!
After his remarks on rigorous governance, the President of the Republic of Cameroon, Chairman of the Higher Judicial Council, His Excellency Paul BIYA, urged Cameroonians of all stripes to remain steadfast in their efforts to counter demoralising, demobilising, and/or destabilising manoeuvres. These manoeuvres are increasingly prevalent, more than ever before, in numerous virtual and real-life spheres. In Cameroon, a nation with a socio-cultural landscape no less complex than elsewhere, and subject to diverse interferences, these manoeuvres play out within various spheres of expression that animate public life across the country. Some of these spheres include the interactions of extended families that have lived together for generations, school and university classmates and friends, especially from elite institutions such as the National School of Administration and Magistracy, colleagues, and friendship groups.
