# PRESS RELEASE

2nd edition of the Cameroon Economic Meetings

Focused on constructive dialogue and strategic partnership, the first edition of the Cameroon Economic Meetings, held on 26 and 27 February 2025, saw the active participation of the Government, local and international partners, as well as hundreds of businesses and civil society actors. It provided an ideal setting for exchanges, consultation and the formulation of concrete proposals for the structural transformation and competitiveness of the national economy.

In view of the national and international calendar, marked by the organisation of several major events in Cameroon in 2026, and taking into account the current inadequacy of logistics to enable the simultaneous holding of large-scale events under optimal conditions, the Groupement des Entreprises du Cameroun informs the national and international public that the second edition of the Cameroon Economic Meetings will be held in February 2027.

This postponement, dictated by a concern for responsibility, organisational efficiency and maintaining the quality standards that have characterised previous work, aims to guarantee an appropriate logistical framework, broader participation and results that meet the expectations of the various stakeholders.

The second edition will equally be held under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister, Head of Government, thus demonstrating the public authorities’ ongoing commitment to supporting the private sector and promoting fruitful and structured public-private dialogue.

Through this announcement, the Cameroon Business Organisation reaffirms its determination to work closely with all national institutions, technical and financial partners, as well as economic and social actors, with a view to consolidating an inclusive and sustainable dynamic of growth and prosperity for Cameroon.
