CONSTITUTING THE SOCIAL AFFAIRS COMMISSION OF THE CAMEROON BAR ASSOCIATION

THE PRESIDENT OF THE CAMEROON BAR ASSOCIATION,

MINDFUL of Law No. 90/059 of 19th December 1990 to organize Practice at the Bar;

MINDFUL of Decision N°41/DPJ/SG/MJ of 12th April 2005 on the Internal Regulations of the Cameroon Bar Association;

MINDFUL of the Proceedings of the General Assembly of the Cameroon Bar Association of 19th and 20th June 2022;

MINDFUL of the General Directives of the Bar President on the functioning of the Bar council;

MINDFUL of the necessity of service;

DECIDES AS FOLLOWS:

Article 1: Under the supervision of the Bar Council, the Social Affairs Commission shall be in charge of ascertaining the ways and measures necessary to ensure, under the banner of solidarity, assistance to Advocates in need.

Its mission shall be to submit reports to the Bar Council on the establishment of one or more insurance schemes, on the establishment of one or more special relief or solidarity funds, on the modalities of the Bar Association's participation at the funerals of Advocates, their spouses and children, etc.

This Commission, to which shall be delegated some of the prerogatives of representation of the Bar President, shall be in charge of matters relating to the social welfare and security of advocates in matters of health or touching on the duty of care.

Article 2: As from the date of signature of the present Decision, the following Advocates are appointed to the Social Affairs Commission of the Cameroon Bar Association:
