APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE HUMAN RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS COMMISSION OF THE CAMEROON BAR ASSOCIATION

THE PRESIDENT OF THE CAMEROON BAR ASSOCIATION,

MINDFUL of Law No. 90/059 of 19th December 1990 to organize Practice at the Bar;

MINDFUL of Decision N°41/DPJ/SG/MJ of 12th April 2005 on the Internal Regulations of the Cameroon Bar Association;

MINDFUL of the Proceedings of the General Assembly of the Cameroon Bar Association of 19th and 20th June 2022;

MINDFUL of the General Directives of the Bar President on the functioning of the Bar council;

MINDFUL of the necessity of service;

DECIDES AS FOLLOWS:

Article 1: The Human Rights and Freedoms Commission of the Cameroon Bar Association shall be responsible for the following:

• To make an inventory of laws and regulations containing provisions contrary to Human Rights legislations.

• To submit to the Bar Council for deliberation, all proposals to modify these texts.

• To refer to the Bar Council, all infringements of Human Rights that it considers grievous.

• To carry out, at the request of the Bar Council, investigations related to its prerogatives.
• To facilitate seminars and conferences that seek to promote Human Rights.
• To organize, on the occasion of each annual anniversary of the Bar, a competition for pupil-advocates and young lawyers on the theme, "FREEDOM AND HUMAN RIGHTS".

Article 2: As from the date of signature of the present Decision, the following Advocates are appointed to the Human Rights and Freedoms Commission of the Cameroon Bar Association:
