# CHRACERH : messe pour la générosité du Couple présidentiel 300 Babies Born at CHRACERH: Chantal BIYA, Staff, Families offer Thanksgiving to God
La Première Dame, Madame Chantal BIYA, a pris part, le 12 mai 2022 à l'esplanade du Centre Hospitalier de Recherche et d'Application en Chirurgie Endoscopique et Reproduction Humaine (CHRACERH), à une messe concélébrée par NNSS Jean Mbarga, Archevêque métropolitain de Yaoundé, Damase Zinga Atangana, Evêque de Kribi, Sosthène Bayemi Matjei, Evêque d'Obala, et Adalbert Ndzana, Evêque émérite de Mbalmayo, en reconnaissance à Dieu pour la naissance de 300 premiers bébés issus de l'assistance médicale à la procréation.
Dans son homélie centrée sur l'exaltation de la procréation, de la préservation de la vie et de l'affectivité parentale, l'Archevêque métropolitain de Yaoundé a précisé l'intention principale de cet office : « aujourd'hui, nous fêtons à la fois la joie d'être parent et la joie de ceux qui donnent la joie d'être parent. » Il a par la suite solennellement invoqué la miséricorde du Seigneur Dieu Tout-Puissant afin qu'il bénisse la Première Dame du Cameroun, Madame Chantal BIYA, et son auguste époux, S. E. Paul BIYA, pour avoir su générer la joie de l'enfantement au cœur du désespoir de l'infécondité.
Many were sceptical six years ago when First Lady Chantal BIYA expanded her humanitarian activities into the fight against infertility in Cameroon. Her sublime foresightedness and incredible determination to surpass the ordinary, coupled with the astute support of her illustrious husband - President Paul BIYA - have been the major catalysts towards the success story of the Gynaecological Endoscopic Surgery and Human Reproductive Teaching Hospital (CHRACERH).
Today, the scorecard of the medical miracle speaks volumes with 300 babies born via Assisted Technology Reproduction (ATR).
It is true the expertise of the CHRACERH staff is unquestionably deserving. Professor Jean Marie Kasia's team has won the admiration of the entire nation.
On the other hand, the most important portion of this great accomplishment could only be made possible through the infinite grace of God - for Him alone holds the keys to conception. It is against this backdrop that a thanksgiving Pontifical Mass was organised on 12 May 2022 to celebrate the birth of the 300 healthy angels who were delivered via in vitro fertilisation (IVF).
