CALL FOR APPLICATIONS No. /AAC/MINTP/SG/CPR-FC/RH/2026 OF 76 AVR 2026 FOR THE RECRUITMENT OF TWO EXPERTS AT THE JOINT FINANCING ROAD PROJECTS UNIT
- Background
a. The Government of the Republic of Cameroon has received funding from the International Development Association to cover the cost of the Project to Improve Connectivity, Resilience and Inclusion Along the Mora - Dabanga - Kousseri Road Corridor in the Far-North Region “PACRI-MDK”, and intends to devote part of the loan to make payments under the contracts for two (2) staff members of the Project Management Unit (PMU).
b. The PACRI-MDK Programme, whose scope goes beyond the construction of road transport infrastructure, mainly aims to (1) improve connectivity as well as internal and cross-border trade by rehabilitating sections that are in a very poor condition, primarily Mora - Dabanga - Kousseri; (2) improve the climatic resilience of infrastructure; (3) improve the resilience and inclusion of local populations through better access to basic services and socio-economic opportunities.
It is organised around the following three (3) components:
- Component 1: Road rehabilitation and maintenance works;
- Component 2: Improvement of community infrastructure in selected areas and communities hosting refugees in the Far-North Region;
- Component 3: Institutional reinforcement of the transport sector;
c. The implementation of the project shall be ensured by a Project Management Unit (PMU), under the technical supervisory authority of the Ministry of Public Works. The PMU shall also be responsible for the fiduciary management of external bilateral and multilateral funds devoted to the project, as well as the operational coordination of related activities.
d. In a bid to ensure the smooth operation of the road projects execution monitoring body, and based on the pooling efforts principle in the mobilisation of resources for the functioning of the JF-RPU by the various TFPs, the Ministry of Public Works intends to recruit two (2) experts whose responsibilities and profiles are defined in this call for application and in the terms of reference to be collected at the Joint Financing Road Projects Unit. These include one (1) Procurement Specialist and one (1) Safety Expert.
