THE MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT AND THE MINISTER OF LIVESTOCK, FISHERIES AND ANIMAL INDUSTRIES
ANNOUNCE:
That there will be a selection test to admit into training centres, young professional farmers in the trade of Farming Operations. Examinations to recruit 3520 youths of both sexes within the age of 18 to 35 will be organised in the agro pastoral, rural private and public training centres on the 02nd and 03rd of April 2020.
This training will enable young people to be self-employed through their integration into economic and agricultural spheres of the country.
Nature of the training:
This is a professional training which seeks to develop the following competences in the trainees : - Farm management and farm systems analysis - Natural resources management - Running of a production unit (agriculture, livestock and fish farming) - Transformation ; - Marketing of farm produce ; - Communication in a professional milieu ; - Civic and socio cultural education.
During the entire training, the trainee will be provided backstopping towards the writing of his/her professional settlement project and could also receive backstopping from the centre during the implementation of this project.
# Training Modalities :
(i) Training is done by altenation between the socio-professional environment (family and reference farmers) and the training centre; (ii) The youth undergoing training is given backstopping towards the writing of his/her professional integration which is implanted in the area where the training centre is located; (iii) Training is done at the centre by a pedagogic team comprising of monitors and in the socio professional milieu by reference farmers and parents; (iv) The youth is subjected to residence life during the training phase in the centre and therefore receives a feed allowance; (v) During their stay with families and with reference farmers, the youth is taken care of by his family.
# Admission modalities :
Admission into training centre is by a competitive examination (selection test)
The following documents should be compiled :
- A hand written application addressed to the Director of the centre;
- A hand written motivation letter, written during the submission of documents and specifying the place and objective of the youth's project;
- A sponsorship letter signed by a sponsor who takes upon himself to follow up the trainee during his entire training and settlement process;
- Photocopy of birth certificate;
- Certified copy of National Identity card;
- A medical certificate of fitness for agro pastoral activities;
