# INFORMATION CIRCULAR
FOR THE ATTENTION OF ALL PARTICIPANTS
THE TWENTY EIGHTH MEETING OF COMESA MINISTERS OF JUSTICE AND ATTORNEYS GENERAL TO BE HELD ON 14TH NOVEMBER 2025 AND THE THIRTIETH MEETING OF THE COMMITTEE ON LEGAL AFFAIRS TO BE HELD FROM 10TH – 13TH NOVEMBER 2025, LUSAKA, ZAMBIA

General Information about the arrangements concerning the meetings is as follows: -

Sponsorship: All participants are self-sponsored and are responsible for meeting their own travel and accommodation expenses.
Accommodation: A list of hotels is attached hereto where bookings can be made directly.
Lunch: Buffet Lunch (with one non-alcoholic beverage) and two teas/coffees per day will be provided to all participants during meeting days only at the venue of the meetings.
Dinner: All participants are responsible for meeting their dinner expenses.

Transport: Transportation from and to the airport will be provided. Kindly email your travel itineraries to pmwiche@comea.int to facilitate airport transfers.
The Secretariat and the Host Government shall accord all Ministers or Attorneys General the usual courtesies in the form of VIP airport reception and chauffeur driven motor vehicles for the Ministerial meeting.
Airport pick-ups by bus for any other delegates will also be arranged. Kindly be on the lookout for a signpost reading “COMESA” when you exit the arrival hall.
Visas: For countries that require visas, you are required to apply online on evisazambiaimmigration.gov.zm and attach visa letters which will be sent to you upon your confirmation of attendance and submission of your passport copies.
Transit Visas: It is not possible for the COMESA Secretariat to obtain Transit Visas for third countries.
Emergency: In case of an emergency, please report to the hotel/Secretariat staff
Security: Lusaka is a safe place, but visitors are encouraged to be vigilant and aware of their surroundings all the time. Further, visitors are also encouraged to report any security incidents to the event Secretariat or hotel staff.
Official Currency: The currency in Zambia is the Zambian Kwacha (ZMW). The link to the official exchange rate is as follows https://www.boz.zm/. Those that would want to change money are required to make their own arrangements at designated institutions such as banks and currency bureaux.
Official Languages: The working languages during the meeting shall be English, Arabic and French. All working documents shall also be in the above mentioned official languages of COMESA.
Documentation: All working documents and reports shall be made available online after due clearance. No paper documents will be provided in line with the COMESA Paperless Conferencing Policy.
