The Minister of Finance informs taxpayers of the Large Taxpayers Office (LTO) that, under the provisions of section 18 of the General Tax Code, they are required to file, by March 15, 2024, their Statistics and Tax Returns (STR) for the 2023 fiscal year.
Per the international transparency standards enshrined in the 2023 Finance Law, the concerned taxpayers will also have to file a return of their beneficial owners within the same timeframe.
To assist in fulfilling these obligations, the Minister of Finance invites taxpayers of the LTO to participate in the training seminars organized by the Directorate General of Taxation (DGT).
These seminars will be held from Tuesday, February 20 to Friday, February 23, 2024, at the Auditorium of the DGT’s headoffice building in Yaoundé, according to the following schedule:
- Tuesday, February 20, 2024, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm: Taxpayers under the units in charge of the industry, banking, insurance, and information and communication technology (ICT) sectors.
- Wednesday, February 21, 2024, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm: Taxpayers under the unit in charge of the trade sector.
- Thursday, February 22, 2024, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm: Taxpayers under the unit in charge of the forest, water, and petroleum sectors.
- Friday, February 23, 2024, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm: Taxpayers under the unit in charge of service providers.
The Minister of Finance counts on the active participation of all in these training workshops, which aim to enhance compliance.
