Newsletter on agricultural commodity prices in pilot markets in the Adamawa, Far North and North regions

HIGHLIGHTS
- Increase in cereal prices in the North and relative stability in the Far North. Prices per kilogram of white maize and wheat flour rose in Adamawa.
- Increase in groundnut prices in all three regions.
- Relatively stable legume prices in all three regions, with the exception of voandzou, for which prices rose in the North.
- Relatively stable prices for roots and tubers in all three regions, with the exception of potatoes and white yams, whose prices have risen in the Adamawa region.
- Fruit and vegetable prices fell in all three regions, with the exception of garlic, for which prices rose in the North and Far North regions.

Methodology
Data presented in this bulletin were collected by MINADER staff through the Market Information System (SIM) pilot project, led by the Agricultural Surveys and Statistics Division (DESA) with support from the World Food Program (WFP) in Cameroon.
Each product was calibrated to collect data in local units of measurement. This operation is repeated periodically to guarantee the quality of the prices collected. A total of 30 food products are monitored in 30 markets in the Adamau, Far North and North regions.
Data processing and analysis are carried out by a joint DESA-PAM technical team.
