APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE WATCHDOG COMMISSION
FOR ADVOCATES IN THE DAY-TO-DAY EXERCISE
OF THE LEGAL PROFESSION
THE PRESIDENT OF THE CAMEROON BAR ASSOCIATION,
MINDFUL of Law No. 90/059 of 19th December 1990 to organize Practice at the Bar;
MINDFUL of Decision N°41/DPJ/SG/MJ of 12th April 2005 on the Internal Regulations of the Cameroon Bar Association;
MINDFUL of the Proceedings of the General Assembly of the Cameroon Bar Association of 19th and 20th June 2022;
MINDFUL of the General Directives of the Bar President on the functioning of the Bar Council;
MINDFUL of the necessity of service;
DECIDE :
Article 1: Under the supervision of the Bar President, the Watchdog Commission for the Day-to-day Exercise of the Legal Profession shall have as its mission to identify and report the challenges faced by lawyers in the daily exercise of the profession.
Amongst other special assignments, this Commission shall:
- Report and investigate all cases of infringements against the physical and professional integrity of Lawyers;
- Report and investigate all cases of charlatans operating at all levels including but not limited to courts, tribunals and cyber space;
Article 2: This Commission shall operate through regional offices set up in the Center, North West, Littoral, South West and West Regions.
Article 3: From the date of signature of the present Decision, the following Advocates are appointed to the Watchdog Commission for Advocates in the Day-to-day Exercise of the Legal Profession:
