To launch the Competitive Entrance Examination into the first year of the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine of the University of Buea and fixing the number of places offered for the 2020/2021 academic year.
THE MINISTER OF HIGHER EDUCATION,
Mindful of the constitution;
Mindful of law n° 2001/005 of 16th April 2001 on the orientation of Higher Education;
Mindful of Decree n° 2011/408 of 09th December 2011 to organize the government;
Mindful of Decree n°2011/410 of 09th December 2011 to appoint members of Government;
Mindful of Decree n°2015/434 of 02nd October 2015 to re-shuffle the Government;
Mindful of Decree n° 2012/433 of 01st April 2012 to organize the Ministry of Higher Education;
Mindful of Decree n° 2005/342 of 10th September 2005 to modify and complete certain dispositions of decree n° 93/027 of 19th January 1993 to define common dispositions applicable to Universities;
Mindful of Decree n°92/074 of 13th April 1992 to transform the Buea and Ngaoundere University Centres into Universities;
Mindful of Decree n°93/034 of 19th January 1993 to organize the University of Buea;
Mindful of Decree n° 2017/318 of 27th June 2017 appointing the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Buea;
Mindful of Decree n° 2019/447 du 27 August 2019 appointing the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine;
Mindful of Arrête n° 20/00407/MINESUP/SG/DAUQ/SDEAC/SE of 26th May 2020 fixing the calendar of the competitive examinations into the Cameroon State Universities, for the 2020/2021 academic year;
On the proposal of the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Buea
DECIDES AS FOLLOWS:
Article 1: A Competitive Entrance Examination for the selection of three hundred students for admission into the first year of the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine (FAVM) of the University of Buea for the 2020/2021 academic year, will take place on the following date and at the centres indicated below:
Date: Wednesday, 23 September 2020 Centres: Buea, Bamenda, Douala and Yaoundé

The 300 places shall be distributed to programmes as follows:
- Agricultural Economics 40
- Animal Science 30
- Crop Production 40
- Forestry and Wildlife 30
- Food Science and Technology 30
- Fisheries Aquatic Resources management 30
- Plant Health Management 30
- Soil Science 30
- Veterinary Medicine 40
Article 2: The Competitive Entrance Examination cited in article 1 shall be open to male and female Cameroonians and to foreign candidates’ resident in Cameroon within the limits of available places.
