L'ANNEE DU PRESIDENT 2012
# MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS: OFF TO A GOOD START
The year 2012 is a transition year and marks indelibly the end of the first seven-year term of THE PRESIDENT'S YEAR launched in 2006, as well as the beginning of Major Accomplishments.
The 2012 issue of the retrospective magazine, which reviews the President's activities, is thus striking due to its originality: careful selection of photographs and apt choice of captions. It presents a comprehensive overview of the Head of State's vibrant political, diplomatic, economic, social and cultural actions during the year just ended. All the density, intensity and diversity of the 2012 images of the President of the Republic, His Excellency Paul BIYA, in Cameroon and abroad are presented.
Therefore, the year 2012 will go down in history as the beginning of the fulfilment of the President's promises that have raised so much hope. Indicators signal renewed and accelerated economic growth. The major projects announced by the President of the Republic are under way. Some, like the Kribi Gas-fired Power Plant, are nearing completion. The President has kept his word.
The Road maps, which do guide the government's action, are the Administration's management chart. An ever-increasing number of investors
have found a profitable niche in Cameroon. Job opportunities, especially for youths, are increasing. Confidence is restored. There is reason for hope.
True to tradition, The President's Year illustrates such hope through beautiful pictures and memorable souvenirs. The images are eloquent. They sufficiently testify that the President of the Republic is active, that, under his impetus, the country is forging ahead, that he has resolutely set the country on the path towards becoming an emerging economy and that nothing, nothing more can stop it.
The Head of State's busy schedule is reflected here, sometimes in hitherto unpublished pictures.
