APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE SOCIAL WELFARE COMMISSION OF THE CAMEROON BAR ASSOCIATION

THE PRESIDENT OF THE CAMEROON BAR ASSOCIATION,

MINDFUL of Law No. 90/059 of the 19th of December, 1990 to organize Practice at the Bar;

MINDFUL of Decision N°41/DPJ/SG/MJ of 12 April 2005 on the Internal Regulations of the Cameroon Bar Association;

MINDFUL of the Proceedings of the General Assembly of the Cameroon Bar Association of 19th and 20th June 2022;

MINDFUL of the General Directives of the Bar President on the functioning of the Bar Council;

MINDFUL of the need to ensure the social welfare of Advocates;

MINDFUL of the necessity of service;

DECIDES AS FOLLOWS:

Article 1: Under the supervision of the Bar President, the Social Welfare Commission shall have as its mission, to prospect and negotiate with insurance companies and the National Social Insurance Fund (NSIF), the best terms and conditions to set up a social security scheme for lawyers of the Cameroon Bar Association.

Article 2: The Social Welfare Commission shall focus on these areas:

• Health Insurance
• Retirement
• Life Insurance.

Article 3: The Social Welfare Commission shall also study and propose to the Bar Council the terms of any insurance company whose mission shall be to finance the setting-up of the Bar insurance scheme.

Article 4: From the date of signature of the present Decision, the following Advocates are appointed to the Social Welfare Commission of the Cameroon Bar Association:
