APPOINTING MEMBERS OF THE CONCILIATION

OFFICES OF THE CAMEROON BAR ASSOCIATION

THE PRESIDENT OF THE CAMEROON BAR ASSOCIATION,

MINDFUL of Law No. 90/059 of the 19th of December, 1990 to organize Practice at the Bar;

MINDFUL of Decision N°41/DPJ/SG/MJ of 12 April 2005 on the Internal Regulations of the Cameroon Bar Association;

MINDFUL of the Proceedings of the General Assembly of the Cameroon Bar Association of 19th and 20th June 2022;

MINDFUL of the General Directives of the Bar President on the functioning of the Bar Council;

MINDFUL of the necessity of service;

DECIDES AS FOLLOWS:

Article 1: It is hereby created within the territorial jurisdiction of each Court of Appeal, a Conciliation Commission Office of the Cameroon Bar Association which shall be under the authority of the Bar President.

This commission, which is empowered with some of the conciliation prerogatives of the Bar President, shall be in charge of settling disputes entrusted to it between Lawyers, between Lawyers and clients, between Lawyers and Magistrates as well as the other actors of justice system.

It shall be required to give a ruling within a reasonable time frame. In case of nonconciliation, the said commission shall draw up a report, which it shall transmit either to the competent representative of the Bar President, or to the Bar President for adjudication.

The Conciliation Commission of the Cameroon Bar Association shall be constituted as follows:
