APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS COMMISSION OF THE CAMEROON BAR ASSOCIATION

THE PRESIDENT OF THE CAMEROON BAR ASSOCIATION,

MINDFUL of Law No. 90/059 of 19th December 1990 to organize Practice at the Bar;

MINDFUL of Decision N°41/DPJ/SG/MJ of 12th April 2005 on the Internal Regulations of the Cameroon Bar Association;

MINDFUL of the Proceedings of the General Assembly of the Cameroon Bar Association of 19th and 20th June 2022;

MINDFUL of the General Directives of the Bar President on the functioning of the Bar council;

MINDFUL of the necessity of service;

DECIDES AS FOLLOWS:

Article 1: Chaired by the Bar President, this commission is made up of two sub-commissions, namely:

• The sub-commission in charge of relations with Bars and international professional associations of Lawyers of the Anglo-Saxon Common Law extraction.

• The sub-committee in charge of relations with Bar Associations and international professional associations of the French-Civil Law extraction.

It has as its primary functions:

• To create and/or strengthen the bonds of solidarity, cooperation and mutual support between foreign Bars, Professional Associations of Lawyers and the Cameroon Bar Association.
• To promote the image of the Cameroon Bar Association by all means, and in particular, by making available to fellow Bars and international Bar Associations, the publications of the Bar.
• To negotiate, in consultation with the Training Commission, exchange training programs between members of the Cameroon Bar Association and members of other Bar Associations.
• To negotiate scholarships abroad for pupil-advocates and advocates of the Cameroon Bar Association.

Article 2: As from the date of signature of the present Decision, the following Advocates are appointed to the International Relations Commission of the Cameroon Bar Association:
