To announce a direct competitive examination for the recruitment of 45 (forty-five) Ecoguards into the corps of Forestry civil servants, for the 2018 session.
THE MINISTER OF THE PUBLIC SERVICE AND ADMINISTRATIVE REFORM,
Mindful of the Constitution;
Mindful of decree No.75/785 of 18 December 1975 on the Special Rules and Regulations of the corps of Rural Production civil servants;
Mindful of decree No.94/199 of 7 October 1994 on the General Rules and Regulations of the Public Service, as amended and supplemented by decree No.2000/287 of 12 October 2000;
Mindful of decree No.2000/696/PM of 13 September 2000 to fix the General System of Government Competitive Examinations;
Mindful of decree No.2011/408 of 9 December 2011 to organize the Government as a member and supplemented by decree No.2018/190 of 2 March 2018;
Mindful of decree No.2012/537 of 19 November 2012 to organize the Ministry of the Public Service and Administrative Reform;
Mindful of decree No.2018/191 of 2 March 2018 to reshuffle the Government.
HEREBY ORDERS AS FOLLOWS:
Article 1.- a) A direct competitive examination to recruit Ecoguards into the corps of Forestry civil servants have been announced. The number of available places for the various categories is distributed as follows:
- 5 (five) Forestry Engineers of the second grade of the ‘A’ category of the Public Service;
- 5 (five) Assistant Forestry Engineers of the first grade of the ‘A’ category of the Public Service;
- 5 (five) Senior Forestry Technicians of the second grade of the ‘B’ category of the Public Service;
- 10 (ten) Forestry Technicians of the first grade of the ‘B’ category of the Public Service;
- 10 (ten) Assistant Forestry Technicians of the “C” category of the Public Service;
- 10 (ten) Forestry Technical Assistant of the “D” category of the Public Service.
b) The said examination shall take place on the 10 and 11 November 2018 in Yaounde, the only examination centre.
Article 2. - REQUIREMENTS
- General requirements:
a) To be of Cameroonian nationality;
b) Be at least 17 years of age and 34 years at most at 1° January 2018 (born between 01/01/1984 and 01/01/2001) for candidates for the “A” and “B” categories;
c) Be at least 17 years of age and 29 years at most at 1° January 2018 (born between 01/01/1989 and 01/01/2001) for candidates for the “C” and “D” categories.
d) Be physically apt to work as an Ecoguard;

e) Never have been convicted.
2- Specific requirements
a- For candidates for admission into the cadre of Forestry Engineers: be holder of a Forestry Engineer diploma or an equivalent diploma in Forestry, issued by a national training institution or a recognized foreign or international institution featuring on a list approved by Prime Ministerial order.
