Launching competitive examination in the first year and direct admission in the second year of the alternate cycle into the National Advanced School of Posts, Telecommunications and Information and Communication Technologies (SUP'PTIC) of Yaoundé, for the 2024-2025 academic year.
THE MINISTER OF STATE, MINISTER OF HIGHER EDUCATION AND THE MINISTER OF POSTS AND TELECOMMUNICATIONS
Mindful of the constitution;
Mindful of the law n° 2023/007 of 25 July 2023 on the Higher Education Policy in Cameroon;
Mindful of decree N°2011/408 of 09th December 2011 organising the Government;
Mindful of decree N°2012/512 of 12th April 2012 organising the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications;
Mindful of decree N°2012/433 of 1st April 2012 organising the Ministry of Higher Education;
Mindful of decree N° 2016/425 of 26th October 2016 changing the denomination and reorganizing the National Advanced School of Posts and Telecommunications;
Mindful of decree n°2017/594 of 04th December 2017 appointing the Director and the deputy Director of the National Advanced School of the Posts, Telecommunications and Information and Communication Technologies;
Mindful of decree N°2019/002 of 04th January 2019 to reshuffle the Government;
Mindful of order N° 18240028/MINESUP/SG/DAUQ/SDEAC of 14th February 2024, organizing the calendar of competitive entrance examinations into Faculties, Schools and institutions of Cameroon State Universities for 2024-2025 academic year;
On the proposal of the Director of the National Advanced School of Posts, Telecommunications and Information and Communication Technologies.
DECIDE:
ARTICLE 1: Competitive entrance examinations for admission into the Alternate training of Inspectors of Posts and Telecommunications and Assistant Telecommunications Engineers cycles of the National Advanced School of Posts, Telecommunications and Information and Communication shall be written on the 03rd and 04th of October 2024 at the unique centre Yaoundé.
ARTICLE 2: GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR WRITING
1- Assistant Telecommunications Engineers (ATE)/Bachelor in Engineering - Should be male or female, aged 15 years at least as from the 1st January 2024;
- Should be a holder of the General Certificate of Education “Advanced Level” certificate in at least two science subjects, further mathematics and Physics, A’ level technical GCE or any equivalent certificate in above specialities recognised by the Ministry of Higher Education.
2- Inspectors of Posts and Telecommunications (IPT)/ Bachelor in Administration
- Should be male or female, aged 15 years at least as from the 1st January 2024;
- Should be a holder of the General Certificate of Education “Advanced Level” in at least two subjects or any equivalent certificate recognised by the Ministry of Higher Education.
ARTICLE 3: NUMBER OF PLACES AVAILABLE
The number of places available per cycle is as follow:
Cameroonian Candidates:
- For competitive examination in the first year
- Assistant Telecommunications Engineers: 45 places
- Inspectors of Posts and Telecommunications: 40 places
- For direct admission in the second year
- Assistant Telecommunications Engineers: 15 places
