RésuméCette loi autorise le Président de la République du Cameroun à procéder à l'adhésion du pays au Traité de l'OMPI sur les interprétations et exécutions et les phonogrammes, adopté à Genève le 20 décembre 1996. Le traité vise à protéger les droits des artistes interprètes ou exécutants et des producteurs de phonogrammes. La loi a été adoptée par le Parlement et doit être publiée en urgence au Journal Officiel en anglais et en français.

TO AUTHORIZE THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC TO PROCEED WITH CAMEROON'S ACCESSION TO THE WORLD INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY ORGANIZATION (WIPO) PERFORMANCES AND PHONOGRAMS TREATY, ADOPTED IN GENEVA, SWISS CONFEDERATION ON 20 DECEMBER 1996

The Parliament deliberated and adopted, the President of the Republic hereby enacts the law set out below:

SECTION 1: The President of the Republic is hereby authorized to proceed with Cameroon's accession to the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Performances and Phonograms Treaty, adopted in Geneva, Swiss Confederation, on 20 December 1996.

SECTION 2: This law shall be registered, published according to the procedure of urgency and inserted in the Official Gazette in English and French./-
