DECISION N° 18260213 MINESUP/SG/DAUQ/SDEAC of _______________ To launch the Competitive Entrance Examination into the first year of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET) of the University of Buea, for the 2026/2027 academic year.
THE MINISTER OF HIGHER EDUCATION,
Mindful of the constitution; Mindful of Law N° 2023/007 of 25th July 2023 on the orientation of Higher Education in Cameroon; Mindful of Decree N° 2011/408 of 9th December 2011 to organize the Government; Mindful of Decree N° 2011/410 of 9th December 2011 to appoint members of Government; Mindful of Decree N° 2012/433 of 1st April 2012 to organize the ministry of Higher Education; Mindful of Decree N° 92/074 of 13th April 1992 to transform the Buea and Ngaoundere University centres into Universities. members of Government; Mindful of Decree N° 2005/342 of 10 September 2005 amending and supplementing some provisions of decree no 93/027 of 19 December 1993 on the org93/026 of 19 January 1993 laying down common provisions for Universities; Mindful of Decree N° 93/034 of 19th January 1993 on the administrative organization of the University of Buea; Mindful of Decree N° 2017/318 du 27 June 2017 appointing a Vice-Chancellor and Rectors in some State Universities; Mindful of Decree N° 2023/040 of 24th January 2023 appointing the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology; Mindful of decision n° 18260039/MINESUP/SG/DAUQ/SDEAC of 17th February 2026 setting the calendars of competitive entrance examinations into Faculties, Schools and Institutions of Cameroon State Universities for 2026-2027 academic year.
DECIDES:
Article 1: A Competitive Entrance Examination for the selection of six hundred and fifteen (615) students for admission into the Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET) of the University of Buea on the 23rd September 2026, for the award of a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) and Master of Engineering (MEng) degrees for the 2026/2027 academic year.
Article 2: The Competitive Entrance Examination into the first year shall be opened to Cameroonians and foreigners of both sexes who fulfill one of the following sets of admission requirements:
a) General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level in at least five subjects including English Language, Mathematics, and Physics; and General Certificate of Education Advanced Level in at least two subjects which must include Mathematics. or b) General Certificate of Education Technical Ordinary and Advanced Levels in relevant subjects; or c) Baccalaureat C, D, F2 and F3; or d) Any other certificates recognized as equivalent by the Ministry of Higher Education;
Article 3: The Competitive Entrance Examination into the fourth year (BEng) shall be by study of files, opened to Cameroonians and foreigners of both sexes who fulfill one of the following sets of admission requirements:
a) The Competitive Entrance Examination into the fourth year shall be opened to holders of the Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) of the corresponding discipline;
