To launch the Competitive Entrance Examination into the first and fourth years of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET) of the University of Buea, for the 2024/2025 academic year.
THE MINISTER OF STATE, MINISTER OF HIGHER EDUCATION,
Mindful of the constitution;
Mindful of Law N° 2001/005 of 16th April 2001 on the orientation of Higher Education;
Mindful of Decree N° 2011/408 of 9th December 2011 to organize the Government;
Mindful of Decree N° 2011/410 of 9th December 2011 to appoint members of Government;
Mindful of Decree N° 2012/433 of 1st April 2012 to organize the ministry of Higher Education;
Mindful of Decree N° 92/074 of 13th April 1992 to transform the Buea and Ngaoundere University centres into Universities, members of Government;
Mindful of Decree N° 93/026 of 19th January 1993 to create Universities;
Mindful of Decree n° 93/027 of 19th January 1993 fixing common dispositions in State Universities, modified and supplemented by Decree N°2005/342 of 10th September 2005;
Mindful of Decree N° 93/034 of 19th January 1993 on the administrative organization of the University of Buea;
Mindful of Decree N° 2011/408 of 09th December 2011 to organize the Government;
Mindful of Decree N° 2011/410 of 09th December 2011 to appoint members of Government;
Mindful of Decree N° 2012/433 of 1st October 2012 to organize the Ministry of Higher Education;
Mindful of Decree N° 2017/318 du 27 June 2017 appointing a Vice-Chancellor and Rectors in some State Universities;
Mindful of Decree N° 2023/040 of 24th January 2023 appointing the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology;
Mindful of Order N° 18240028/MINESUP/SG/DAUQ/SDEAC of 14th February 2024 fixing the Calendar of the Competitive Entrance Examinations into the Cameroon State Universities, for the 2024/2025 academic year.
HEREBY ANNOUNCES AS FOLLOWS:
Article 1: A Competitive Entrance Examination for the selection of four hundred and seventy (470) students for admission into the Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET) of the University of Buea on the 19th September 2024, for the award of a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) and Master of Engineering (MEng) degrees for the 2024/2025 academic year.
Article 2: The Competitive Entrance Examination into the first year shall be opened to Cameroonians and foreigners of both sexes who fulfill one of the following sets of admission requirements:

a) General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level in at least five subjects including English Language, Mathematics, and Physics; and General Certificate of Education Advanced Level in at least two subjects which must include Mathematics.
or
b) General Certificate of Education Technical Ordinary and Advanced Levels in relevant subjects;
or
c) Baccalaureat C, D, F2 and F3;
or
d) Any other certificates recognized as equivalent by the Ministry of Higher Education;
