DECREE No. 2020/132 OF 18 MARCH 2020 to authorize the Minister of Finance to issue government securities for a maximum amount of CFAF 320 000 000 000 (three hundred and twenty billion) for the financing of development projects included in the finance law of the Republic of Cameroon for the 2020 financial year

THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC,

Mindful of the Constitution;

Mindful of Law No. 2019/23 of 24 December 2019: Finance Law of the Republic of Cameroon for the 2020 Financial Year;

Mindful of Decree No. 2011/408 of 9 December 2011 to organize the Government, as amended and supplemented by Decree No. 2018/190 of 2 March 2018,

HEREBY DECREES AS FOLLOWS:

ARTICLE 1: The Minister of Finance is authorized, with powers of delegation, to issue, on behalf of the State, government securities, notably Treasury bonds, for a maximum amount of CFAF 320 000 000 000 (three hundred and twenty billion) for the financing of development projects included in the finance law of the Republic of Cameroon for the 2020 financial year.

ARTICLE 2: The use of the resources derived from the issuance of government securities referred to in Article 1 above shall be subject to prior approval by the President of the Republic.

ARTICLE 3: This decree shall be registered, published according to the procedure of urgency, and inserted in the Official Gazette in English and French.
