DECREE No.2020/135 OF 19 MARCH 2020 to authorize the Minister of Economy, Planning and Regional Development to sign with the International Isalamic Trade Finance Corporation (IsDB), a MOURABAHA financing agreement for an amount of EUR 98 million, or approximately CFAF 64.3 billion, as well as documents subsequent to its renewal, for the procurement of agricultural inputs (fertilizers, pesticides, weed killer, etc), the purchase of seed cotton and soyabean Seeds, and their sale to the Republic of Cameroon

THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC,

Mindful of the Constitution;

Mindful of Law No. 2019/23 of 24 December 2019: Finance Law of the Republic of Cameroon for the 2020 Financial Year;

Mindful of Decree No. 2011/408 of 9 December 2011 to organize the Government, as amended and supplemented by Decree No. 2018/190 of 2 March 2018,

HEREBY DECREES AS FOLLOWS:

ARTICLE 1: Minister of Economy, Planning and Regional Development is authorized to sign with the International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC) of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), a MOURABAHA financing agreement for an amount of EUR 98 million, or approximately CFAF 64.3 billion, as well as documents subsequent to its renewal, for the procurement of agricultural inputs (fertilizers, pesticides, weed killers, etc.), the purchase of seed cotton and soyabean seeds, and their sale to the Republic of Cameroon.

ARTICLE 2: This decree shall be registered, published according to the procedure of urgency, and inserted in the Official Gazette in English and French.
