REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN PAIX - TRAVAIL - PATRIE
DECREE No. 2026/165 OF 04 MAI 2026 to appoint members of the Board of Directors of the Cameroon Electricity Corporation (SOCADEL).-
THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC,
Mindful of the Constitution;
Mindful of Law No. 2017/010 of 12 July 2017 to lay down the general rules and regulations governing public establishments;
Mindful of Decree No. 2011/408 du 9 December 2011 to organize the Government, as amended and supplemented by Decree No. 2018/190 of 2 March 2018;
Mindful of Decree No. 2019/320 of 19 June 2019 to lay down conditions for implementing some provisions of Law No. 2017/010 and Law No. 2017/011 of 12 July 2017 to lay down the general rules and regulations governing public establishments and public corporations;
Mindful of Decree No. 2026/165 of 04 MAI 2026 to transform "Energy of Cameroon" into a State-owned corporation;
Mindful of Decree No. 2026/164 of 04 MAI 2026 to approve the Articles of Association of the Cameroon Electricity Corporation,
HEREBY DECREES AS FOLLOWS:
ARTICLE 1: The undermentioned personalities are, with effect from the date of signature of this decree, appointed members of the Board of Directors of the Cameroon Electricity Corporation, for a three-year term, renewable once:
- Personality designated by the President of the Republic: Mr NTSIMI Antoine.
- Representative of the Presidency of the Republic: Mr MAKONDA Fidèle.
- Representative of the Prime Minister’s Office: Mr CHAMENI NEMBOUA Célestin.

- Representative of the Ministry of Water Resources and Energy: Mr THOME Adolphe.
- Representative of the Ministry of Finance: Mr EDOA Gilbert Didier.
- Representative of the Ministry of Economy, Planning and Regional Development: Mr AHMAT TOM.
- The Director-General of the National Electricity Transmission Company: Mr MBEUMI NYAKNGA Victor.
- The Director-General of the Electricity Development Corporation: Mr NSANGOU Théodore.
ARTICLE 2: The name of the staff representative shall be communicated to the chairperson of the Board of Directors in due course.
ARTICLE 3: This decree shall be published according to the procedure of urgency and inserted in the Official Gazette in English and French.
