DECREE No. 2026/167 OF 04 MAI 2026 to organize an official funeral in honour of Mr Marcel NIAT NJIFENJI
# THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC,
Mindful of the Constitution;
Mindful of Decree No. 76/424 of 16 September 1976 to lay down the rules of protocol applicable in public ceremonies, precedence and civil and military honours,
# HEREBY DECREES AS FOLLOWS:
Article 1: An official funeral shall be organized in honour of Mr Marcel NIAT NJIFENJI, former President of the Senate, who died on 11 April 2026 in Yaounde as the result of an illness.
Article 2: The official funeral shall take place in Bangangte, Nde Division, West Region, on Saturday, 16 May 2026.
Article 3: This decree shall be registered, published according to the procedure of urgency and inserted in the Official Gazette in English and French.
