ORDINANCE No. _______________ to amend and supplement some provisions of Law No. 2020/18 of 17 December 2020: Finance Law of the Republic of Cameroon for the 2021 financial year

Mindful of the Constitution;
Mindful of Law No. 2018/12 of 11 July 2018 relating to the fiscal regime of the State and other public entities;
Mindful of Law No. 2020/18 of 17 December 2020: Finance Law of the Republic of Cameroon for the 2021 financial year;
Mindful of Decree No. 2011/408 of 9 December 2011 to organize the Government, as amended and supplemented by Decree No. 2018/190 of 2 March 2018;
HEREBY ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
ARTICLE 1: (1) The provisions of Section Forty-nine of Law No. 2020/18 of 17 December 2020: Finance Law of the Republic of Cameroon for the 2021 financial year are amended.
(2) Section Forty-nine(a) shall be inserted after Section Forty-nine of the said Law as follows:
"PART ONE
GENERAL CONDITIONS OF BUDGETARY AND FINANCIAL BALANCE

PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE BALANCE OF RESOURCES AND EXPENSES IN THE STATE BUDGET
CHAPTER FOUR
OVERALL FINANCING AND AUTHORIZATIONS
SECTION FORTY-NINE (new): The Government is authorized to negotiate and possibly conclude during the 2021 financial year, under conditions safeguarding the financial interests of the State as well as its economic and political sovereignty, concessional and non-concessional loans of total amounts of CFAF 350 billion and CFAF 750 billion respectively.
SECTION FORTY-NINE(a): During the 2021 financial year, the Government shall be authorized to resort to issues on the international market for an amount of CFAF 450 billion
within the ceiling for non-concessional loans authorized in Section Forty-nine above, mainly for the partial or total redemption of the current Eurobond".
The rest shall remain unchanged.
ARTICLE 2: This Ordinance shall be registered, published according to the procedure of urgency and inserted in the Official Gazette in English and French.
