REPUBLIC OF CAMEROON PEACE-WORK-FATHERLAND
DECREE No. 2020/3191/PM OF 03 JUL 2020 to raise the retirement age of State medical and paramedical personnel governed by the Labour Code
THE PRIME MINISTER, HEAD OF GOVERNMENT,
Mindful of the Constitution;
Mindful of Law No. 90/63 of 19 December 1990 to amend and supplement some provisions of Law No. 69/LF/18 of 10 November 1969 to establish an insurance scheme for old age pension, invalidity and death;
Mindful of Decree No. 78/484 of 9 November 1978 to lay down the common provisions applicable to State employees governed by the Labour Code;
Mindful of Decree No. 92/89 of 4 May 1992 to define the duties of the Prime Minister, as amended and supplemented by Decree No. 95/145(a) of 4 August 1995;
Mindful of Decree No. 92/221/PM of 8 May 1992 to fix the retirement age of State employees governed by the Labour Code, as amended and supplemented by Decree No. 93/334/PM of 16 April 1993;
Mindful of Decree No. 2011/408 of 9 December 2011 to organize the Government, as amended and supplemented by Decree No. 2018/190 of 2 March 2018;
Mindful of Decree No. 2019/1 of 4 January 2019 to appoint the Prime Minister, Head of Government;
HEREBY DECREES AS FOLLOWS:
ARTICLE 1: The retirement age of State medical and paramedical personnel governed by the Labour Code is, with effect from the date of signature of this decree, raised to 60 (sixty) years for categories “8” to “12” personnel and 55 (fifty-five) years for categories “1” to “7” personnel.
ARTICLE 2: This decree, which repeals all previous provisions repugnant hereto, shall be registered, published according to the procedure of urgency and inserted in the Official Gazette in English and French.
