REPUBLIC OF CAMEROON PEACE-WORK-FATHERLAND
THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC,
Mindful of the Constitution;
Mindful of Decree No. 94/199 of 7 October 1994 to lay down the General Rules and Regulations of the Public Service, as amended and supplemented by Decree No. 2000/287 of 12 October 2000,
HEREBY DECREES AS FOLLOWS:
ARTICLE 1: The retirement age of civil servants is, with effect from 1 January 2021, harmonized at 60 (sixty) years for categories “A” and “B” civil servants, and 55 (fifty-five) years for categories “C” and “D” civil servants.
ARTICLE 2: The measure referred to in Article 1 above shall be extended to civil servants who, at the date of entry into force of this decree, are on a valid official extension of service period.
ARTICLE 3: This decree, which repeals all previous provisions repugnant hereto, in particular those of Article 124(1) of the above-mentioned Decree No. 94/199 of 7 October 1994, shall be registered, published according to the procedure of urgency and inserted in the Official Gazette in English and French.
