DECREE No. 2024/056 OF 21 FEV 2024 to increase family allowances paid to workers
# THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC,
Mindful of the Constitution;
Mindful of Law No. 67/DF/228 of 12 June 1967 to establish a Code for family allowances;
Mindful of Law No. 92/007 of 14 August 1992 to lay down the Labour Code;
Mindful of Decree No. 69/DF/228 of 9 June 1969 relating to the salary items of civilian and military personnel;
Mindful of Decree No. 75/459 of 26 June 1975 to lay down the system of remuneration of civilian and military personnel, as amended and supplemented by Decree No. 79/064 of 3 March 1979;
Mindful of Decree No. 78/484 of 9 November 1978 to lay down common provisions applicable to State employees governed by the Labour Code;
Mindful of Decree No. 94/199 of 7 October 1994 to lay down the General Rules and Regulations of the Public Service, as amended and supplemented by Decree No. 2000/287 of 12 October 2000;
Mindful of the recommendation of the National Labour Advisory Board, at its session of 10 June 2021,
# HEREBY DECREES AS FOLLOWS:
ARTICLE 1: The amount of family allowances paid to workers by the National Social Insurance Fund and by the Ministry of Finance is, with effect from the date of signature of this decree, increased to 4,500 francs per dependent child per month.
ARTICLE 2: All previous provisions repugnant hereto, in particular those of decree No. 2016/034 of 21 January 2016 to increase the amount of family allowances paid to workers, are repealed.
ARTICLE 3: This Decree shall be registered, published according to the procedure of urgency and inserted in the Official Gazette in English and French.
