Décret n°2026/00604/PM du 13 mars 2026 portant création de lycées bilingues publics

Ce décret crée des lycées bilingues publics (Government Bilingual Secondary Schools) dans plusieurs régions du Cameroun à compter de sa signature. Les établissements créés sont situés dans les régions de l'Adamaoua, du Centre, de l'Extrême-Nord et du Littoral. Il liste notamment les GBSS Djomti-Tibati, GBSS Tchamba, GBSS Eloa, GBSS Banta, GBSS Ndongo-Route, GBSS Amchide, GBSS Boubdoum, GBSS Mbonjo et GBSS Song Dong.

THE PRIME MINISTER, HEAD OF GOVERNMENT,
Mindful of
the Constitution;
Mindful of
Law n° 98/004 of 14 April 1998 to lay down guidelines for education in Cameroon;
Mindful of
Law n° 2019/024 of 24 December 2019 to lay down general code of decentralized territorial communities;
Mindful of
Decree n° 92/089 of 04 may 1992 to specify the powers and duties of the Prime Minister, as amended and supplemented by decree n° 95/145 bis du 04 august 1995;
Mindful of
Decree n° 2008/376 of 12 November 2008 on the administrative organization of the Republic of Cameroon;
Mindful of
Decree n° 2011/408 of 09 December 2011 to organize the Government, as amended and supplemented by decree N°2018/190 du 02 march 2018;
Mindful of
Decree n° 2012/267 of 11 June 2012 to organize the Ministry of Secondary Education;
Mindful of
Decree n° 2019/001 of 04 January 2019 to appoint the Prime Minister, Head of Government;
Mindful of
Decree n° 2023/223 of 14 April 2023 to lay down conditions governing the exercise of some powers devolved by the State upon regions in the area of secondary education,
HEREBY DECREES AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: As from the date of signature of this decree, the following Government Bilingual Secondary Schools are created:
